TNT Shipping & Trading JSC Vietnam is a Vietnamese marine services and project logistics company. We specialize in offshore support, heavy transportation, and specialized marine logistics in Ba Ria – Vung Tau and beyond. Our approach is simple: understand the challenge, take responsibility for the solution, and deliver with professionalism.
Our Story
TNT Shipping was founded in 2005 to be a professional maritime services company built on operational efficiency, commercial discipline, technical capability, and integrity. We start from what clients and project owners actually need, then provide marine solutions that are technically sound, commercially efficient, and operationally executable.
2005: Chemical tanker operations. We began by supporting major industrial and petrochemical clients, including Petrolimex Chemical, Hyosung, Vedan Vietnam, and the Dung Quat Refinery and Petrochemical Complex. These projects built our reputation for reliability, compliance, and handling sensitive cargo.
2010: Offshore towing and T&I. We expanded into offshore tug, towing, and Transportation & Installation services. Our projects included offshore platform work from DK1 through DK5 for the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense.
2011–2016: A more flexible offshore service model. We brought appropriately certified civilian marine assets into demanding offshore projects in Vung Tau. These included azimuth-driven support vessels, tugboats, barges, and AHTS vessels. Combining careful vessel selection, lean management, and competitive pricing, we secured contracts with clients such as Vietsovpetro, PVEP, Japan Vietnam Petroleum Co., Cuu Long JOC, and Truong Son JOC. This opened the offshore sector to more Vietnamese private maritime companies, while still meeting operators’ technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
Today: Heavy transportation and project logistics. We now plan and execute complex marine transportation of heavy structures, offshore components, and oversized cargo using barges, tugboats, AHTS vessels, and other specialized assets.
Featured Project: Greater Changhua 2b & 4 Offshore Wind (Taiwan)
In 2024 and 2025, TNT Shipping was the exclusive domestic transportation provider for the complete TP Can pipe shipment for this Ørsted-involved project. PTSC M&C fabricated 33 offshore wind turbine foundation structures for it. The job required controlled transport of large, heavy tubular components within Vietnam. That meant close coordination of cargo requirements, marine assets, port operations, schedules, and handling procedures. It marked an important step in our move toward offshore energy and project logistics.

Our Approach
Our work is project-oriented. For each assignment we:
- Understand its engineering and operational requirements.
- Select the right marine assets.
- Optimize the transportation method.
- Align safety, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and execution capability from planning through completion.
We believe credibility is earned in the field. It comes from understanding the vessel, the cargo, the project, the regulations, the people, and the risks, and turning them into a practical, safe, and executable solution.
Leadership
Tonny Nguyen (Nguyen Manh Truong), Founder & Chairman
Tonny has nearly three decades of experience in shipping, offshore marine services, heavy transportation, and project logistics. Born and raised in Hai Phong, he studied Maritime Transport Economics at Vietnam Maritime University (1995–2000). He then spent five years at Falcon Shipping, a Vietnam Maritime Corporation member company, working in petroleum transportation. He later completed a Master’s in Business Administration and Transport Economics at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (2013–2016).
His leadership rests on three principles: responsibility, technical understanding, and long-term vision.
